Day 24
As we said our goodbyes Dena and Chicago (Saturday), we set off for a long drive heading toward Sioux Falls, SD. (we hung out awhile more than we expected… we just didn’t want to leave!) 
On our drive we saw a shop called Cheese Castle in Wisconsin (it slightly resembled a castle). It is a must to get some cheese if you are in Wisconsin (though happy cows are in California). Corey was able to try squeaky cheese for the first time (aka cheese curds). Fun! We bought some curds to go, flavored with pizza spices!
In Milwaukee Wisconsin we made a special stop to see architect, Santiago Calitrava’s famous building. (it is an art museum) The spine of the structure opens up like wings at various points in the day. Amazing!
Donna was lured over to another area close-by that had fun activities. The shiny sequined contraptions moved with the wind and had a wheel that would allow you to direct the direction they were facing.
Also, you could play the benches (Donna tried to play chopsticks but no one would have been able to recognize the tune!).
The last fun activity in this park was a contraption that told you to throw rocks in it! When you did it made a fun sound as it hit different metal parts that made high “tinging” sounds. Corey had to pull her away or she would have spent hours of her time playing here!
Also in this park we saw FOUR separate wedding shoots going on! Must be the place for taking wedding photos. It was pretty windy, so it was funny watching how all the girls’ hair-dos were fighting with the wind.
We crossed the M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I river(I can’t think of that state without spelling it out like you do in grade school). It was huge!
For Grampy, Corey spit into the Mississippi river (we aren’t sure why that is done, but anyhow… it was for you Grampy!)
At night, it was such a beautiful sunset. Breathtaking.
We didn’t quite make it to Sioux Falls, we stopped in Rochester, MN to sleep and rest up for a 9 hour drive the next day. (this middle part of the country sure has a lot of land and takes a long time to get through!)

ok, i definitely need to get up to milwaukee and see that museum! you've put me to shame as an architect. again, it was so wonderful to meet you both, and i can't wait to find out where you decide to locate next year! thanks for the music and the candles and the memories!

That was all Corey's doing. Right when he saw the sunset he knew we had to capture it.

You should see that museum, maybe you could go inside (we didn't get the chance to!).
Likewise, it was awesome staying with you. You did Chicago proud, we felt very welcome. : )
Mom— It was pretty gross, huh?! (Donna thought so too)
