Between then and now...August 2011
We are determined to catch up! Here is August 2011.
A new water-play area opened up at a park nearby.
Faye wasn't so sure about water coming out of the ground like that,
but with Daddy around, she felt safe.

We took a quick trip up to Salem for a day, then out to the coast afterward. We went to Enchanted Forest theme park. It happened to be a special weekend where local musicians were playing throughout the park. Some dressed up... as twins.
Others played while balancing on fences.
Faye was able to go on one ride there! So Daddy and Faye crammed themselves in the colorful cart to go around a small track. I don't think Faye understood or completely enjoyed the ride, but that will soon change!
You really are in a forest as paths weave to the next attraction.

As we were heading out of town, we happened upon a free children's event for the community.
So Faye got to pretend to fly a helicopter...

We arrived to Lincoln city in time to see a kite demo at the beach. It was a perfect day for it—super windy!
Even with Corey and Faye under the bear, I don't know if you can fully see how large these things were! They filled the entire sky.
Faye enjoyed pointing to the kites to make sure we were seeing them!
The kites were great, but Faye LOVED the sand!
Yup, she had to try it.

Got to see some sea lions in Newport before heading back home.
The next weekend was action packed with Grampy and Grammy visiting! We
decided to head out to Bandon where the Wildlife Zoo was. How could we
not visit a place where you could walk alongside and pet deer! (Donna's favorite animal)
When we first arrived, Faye was finishing up this graham cracker. Until it got swiped by the peacock!

Even up at the viewpoint Faye still found a way to play in the sand.
We got to witness our first themed wedding and attempted to dress up in the requested medieval style. We chose to go as peasants (only one item was purchased that we didn't already own and that was the top Corey wore). Others at the wedding were a LOT more hard core than us! In this picture Faye is being held up by the bump!
Faye got to hang out with pastors Ian and Wesley.

We took a quick trip up to Portland to join in on Miles' 1st birthday festivities!

Out of all the kids there, Faye's favorite playmate was a dog running around the park.
Halfway through the pregnancy...here is a belly shot of Donna at 20 weeks.

We also found out this month that we were expecting a BOY! Shocked! Donna thought we would only have GIRLS!

Eugene summers are great with all of the free activities going on. This was a music festival of sorts.

During the concerts, for all to watch and be entertained, she plops herself down in the middle of all those watching and tries to put the straw back in her water. She had many fans after this.

For all who want to see Donna make up absurdity on the spot, watch this news clip. Preface: the Church's Mom's Group was at a park that just happened to have a reporter desperately searching for volunteers to talk about new crosswalks. NONE of the other moms wanted to do it, and they pushed Donna under a bus and all said she should. Mind you, we have never once used the new crosswalks, didn't even know what was new about them (and obviously didn't know that you have to push a button first). How could they actually use the clip of what Donna said?! Silly Eugene news. So here is Donna talking about something she knows absolutely nothing about on the News. She named this video "Idiot Citizen". Enjoy a laugh at Donna's expense.

Another free event that we loved to go to was music at Oakway Center. People lounge on the grass as the kids run up and dance to the music. Perfect on a summer evening.
