Between then and now...September 2011
One month closer to catching up...
Faye and Donna visit the little baby store, Bambini. (Donna was selling teething necklaces there) Faye decided to chew on a toy that was handed to her (the one in hand) and so Donna felt obligated to buy the slobbered-on thing. Sneaky business tactics! But a worker there just loved Faye and decided to take this picture of Faye waving.
Faye enjoys fishing in the kiddie pool (and getting drenched in the process).
Oh, and she scuffed her nose by doing a crazy back flip off of one of the outside benches at church.
Here is the mom's group that Donna and Faye go to.
Such great fellowship with great moms and kids.
We had the privilege to attend our dear friends, Iman and Manna's wedding. It was a super hot day, but great to attend a Persian wedding! We didn't have much of a clue as to what was going on most of the time, but a relative was translating for us. Our favorite part of the traditional ceremony when the groom goes to ask for the bride's hand in marriage and the bride has excuses (like being out picking flowers) each time (three times) then after that she agrees! Ha!
The belly is getting bigger! (Donna's, not Corey's)
One of Faye's favorite parts was hanging out with "uncle" Sean!
A friend of Corey's was the photographer for the event and got this great shot.
So with nice weather comes projects. The goal was to dye this rug gray to cover up the lame stains that wouldn't
come out (that's what we get for purchasing a rug off craigslist and only viewing it in a dimly lit room)
Things started off well.
Then we ran out of dye. We went and got the same exact brand and it was showing up differently on the rug! Arg! By the end it looked better than the stained rug we had at the beginning. (but as of now, it is sitting in our garage, hoping to be purchased at a future garage sale).
This was another project. We bought a super faded play structure off of, you guessed it, craigslist.
We spray-painted it brown. The end result looked great... but we forgot to take a picture of it!
Faye has been going to a little Toddler Dance/Activity class on Friday mornings.
She LOVES it. Plus it helps that she has two friends that she already knows in it!
Of the 6 moms in the class, 5 of them are pregnant. So as you imagine the toddlers tumbling along, imagine the pregnant mothers attempting to do so as well. This is why Faye was only enrolled in one session; Donna was not going to be doing this beyond being 7mo pregnant!
Faye poses in her pink monster slippers! Grrraaaaarr!
We went to a concert held at UofO that featured Josh Garrels. We just moved into the family housing that was two blocks from campus, so we were definitely there! (not that we wouldn't travel to see Josh Garrels!) Faye was very active at the concert—being dragged around by older kids there (and loving it). Guess we forgot to take pics of that, but we do have a video of Faye pushing the stroller or should I say us "walking Faye". You decide. Oh, and in it you can see the "bump", since it seems we didn't take a belly pic at all.
Corey loves his little photo subject, as he plays around with settings on his camera.
(Thanks Metcalf's for the adorable kiddie-bench!)
and more....
and more... you can scroll faster through these. We know we are crazy...
told you to scroll through! still more...
Ok, finally done!
But one more food shot!
