Faye: Month 9
Remember that time when we were caught up with our blogs?....yeah, that was 2 or was it 3 months ago... oh well, we keep people in suspense!
Fun fact: Faye has now been out as long as she was in. Faye's 9th month has been filled with activity—mainly from her moving about so much! No wonder we saw a change in our normal sleeping patterns...growing girl!

Faye from 01/07–02/06. Starting this blog off, we have the championship game for the Ducks! Being plugged in to FB during the game, we posted these pics and were able to amuse/confuse a few friends. Faye, the biggest Ducks fan, wearing the duck suit in quite the comical scene. Just a normal day here at the Templeton household. 
Donna made a green and yellow themed dinner to root on the Ducks. But on FB people were confused as to what it was, not impressed at our team spirit. Fail. (it was not-so-pretty green eggs on hash browns for your information)

The dessert took less explaining. Though Donna couldn't stand that the cookies expanded and changed from the perfectly shaped "O" logo. (yes, Faye wanted to get her little hands all over those green-icing cookies...she managed to get a couple fingers sugared up...she's a quick one)

We took advantage of free student and spouse tickets once again, but this time it was for basketball. We thought it would be fun to go to the opening game at the new arena. We got great seats with a great view of the opening ceremonies (as for the game...they won but eh, UO football is more fun to watch). 
These were a few shots of the indoor "fireworks" they had for the opening night. We were about 20 rows up and felt the heat when the flames came shooting up (can't imagine how that must have felt being in the first rows)!
Faye donned the earplugs once again. Was it because the fans were so loud like at the football games?
Nope, it was because we chose to sit right next to... 
the band! (VERY LOUD) We didn't think it would be that loud, but it was.

But Faye didn't seem to mind at all, in fact, she even went to sleep for a bit during the end of the game.

The ergo is the travel-bed. Comes with built-in heater. 
Puddles came to pay a visit to the band and rocked the drums. (band members told us that they knew it who was in the costume because there is only one guy who has played drums for the marching band who now takes turns dressing as the costumed duck).
After playing in the band, Puddles came through our row and we got a little photo shoot. Love the progression. This is what Faye was probably thinking: First: "Why was I ripped away from mama and given to this scary duck? I am going to throw myself back and get out of his clutches!"

Well that will probably be the first/last time we go to a BB game. But it was fun. Our baby is up for anything—we love it!
Here is a scene from one of Faye's play dates, this one with Paxton. The stare-down. They were learning how to "share".
We took a super-quick trip up to Portland at the beginning of Corey's quarter. We met up with some friends who used to live in SLO, Matt and Lisa. Corey and Faye are waiting for them at a coffee shop—and we just had to take a picture of our cutie-bear.

One of the most exciting events was "R-Gee" getting to hang out with his "kind", the giraffes!

Faye tries steamed zucchini for the first time. She loved it (eating and playing).
Time to go for a walk—and Faye is bursting inside from excitement.
This month Faye went to a birthday party for friend, Adam, who turned one. Faye celebrated by keeping her party hat on (we couldn't believe she kept hers on the longest) and she was great at stealing other babies' toys—like the one in her hand in this shot.
We went on a little car ride with Psapp and the ONLY place Psapp felt safe was in Faye's lap! It was such a funny sight!

Faye and technology, once again. This time, she is enjoying looking at a beautiful desktop picture!
Faye is learning all about routines... I think we are going to have to get her an electric toothbrush soon.

She is starting to get longer hair...that is CURLING a bit! Yay!

This month we took Faye out to experience the swing for the first time.
(Don't know why we didn't do it sooner, she loved it)
We just had to take her out the next day for some more swing time!
We tried to use R-Gee to get a peek at her two teeth that have been residing
in her mouth since end of December, but it was still hard to see.
We think she likes the swing... videos don't lie!

We made another visit over to Printing and Mailing so that everyone there could see Faye again. She LOVED this material. She runs her fingers along it to make a fun noise. I thought by putting this in the back seat with her on the way home that it would keep her up until I got her out. Instead, she fell asleep WHILE playing with it. So funny.
