Between then and now... December 2011

The month has finally been blogged. The month that our family of 3 becomes 4....

We had some opportunities in December to be on worship for Sunday mornings—which we love to do together. When we are on, Faye gets to run around and hang out with many friends. Below, Faye gets to ride around with Kara (now newly Vanloo)!

Just one week before the due date. 

Two days before the due date...

Holiday party at the Kasinecs led to a wrapping game. Donna is on the left as a "fallen" angel tree topper with a pregnant belly wrapped with love, and there is indeed a person in the wrapping paper as a candy cane. Faye is confused at the crazy sight.

 Christmas eve fro-yo. Oh yeah!

Gotta feed that baby

 We weren't sure we would be going to this, but we did. Christmas Eve service! Faye and momma in pea coats.

 Later that day we went over to our friends' home. Truly dear family to us.

Three days past due date. Hanging out on a typical Eugene day.

We received a gingerbread train kit and decided to make it...

At least it tasted good! And it must have helped encourage little guy to arrive, 

because this was the last family-of-three event!

Contractions came around 1am...Shane came just 6 1/2 hours later. 

Our precious baby boy, born December 28th at 7:30 on the dot! The first, second child to be born at the birth center. 

Corey gets to weigh his son. He was 7#12oz, and 20.5" long.

 Yup, we are in love.

Faye loves rocking alongside Shane. She says "weeeee".

 New Year's Eve...Donna was itchin to get out and celebrate somehow. Thankfully we lived just down 

the block from The Wild Duck, where we could get dinner out. Shane was bundled and ready to go.

 And Donna got to have her greasy burger while holding Shane.

Our baby boy came just before the New Year. Some call that a tax baby, we call him a miracle! Shane Justice... it means God's gift/God is gracious and Justice, together. We have received an amazing gift from God, and we are thankful for His grace.
