Faye: Month 7

Still in "catch-up" mode, here is Faye's 7th month of life (11.07–12.07).

Let's start out with another adorable photo shoot. Faye—lovin her toes!

The very first "1st" on her 6 month birthday we decided to give Faye a chance at some food other than milk. We mixed up some freshly mashed avocado with some breastmilk and let Faye have at it! We took over 150 photos of this event (not kidding, seriously) but we narrowed it down to the top great picks (it was very hard—each picture was so priceless...yes, it is obvious we are first time parents).

Faye's favorite part was playing with the empty container afterward (slimy and green). ...and she continues to LOVE licking the outside of a glass. Our little sucker fish. Grampy and Grammy couldn't resist seeing Faye again, so they drove up from CA to get some more time with their little sweetie granddaughter.

It's no wonder she has her tongue out all the time, she comes by it naturally through two generations of Templetons! Faye caught helping dadda with computer work.

Faye attended her first wedding in November. Our dear friends, Iman and Manna, made their marriage "official" here in the USA and invited us to be their witnesses. We were honored! We still had some hydrangea outside our house that worked as a bouquet for Manna. Faye got to be the flower girl. (though, she had the LARGEST poop explosion as we took her out of the car to go to the court house and we ended up in the hallway outside the bathrooms wiping from the top of the back down and stripping off all the affected articles of clothing (which just happened to be the long sleeve onesie and tights), so that is why in the pictures it looks like she is in spring attire! Of course it is the one time we didn't bring the diaper bag. Oh Faye, always keeps it interesting!

We love play dates. This is one with our Blevins buddies.

Just one month apart, they are going to be good friends! Truly, she is one in a million(as her shirt says)! :) The funny part about this picture is that the bib that

she is wearing has an inspection tag that says "compliant". Well, she is pretty compliant, at this stage! Faye's first snow! (and our first snow in Eugene) On November 23rd we woke to a winter wonderland out our front yard. So you know what that meant...picture moment! We quickly threw on warm clothes and headed out to the short-lived snow scene. "Snow: white, fluffy=tastes good? Maybe I will give it a try..." "Snow: cold, bland=not that tasty. I think I will stick to playing with it." Faye writing her first words (with some assistance). Placing our baby on cold backgrounds for photos—cruel cruel. (but cute pic!) Lounging in the snow, not so sure about the stuff falling on her face. Looking out on our neighborhood as it continues to snow that day. So fun! This is what Faye thinks of dadda's school work and to-do list. (mamma feels this way too...sometimes) Thanksgiving—what a sweet time we had with friends at our place. Donna loved hosting and making the place "festive". We had a HUGE turkey (over 23lbs!) given to us so Donna had to learn how to cook her first turkey... and Corey and Peter had to learn how to cut it! (just transferring it to the cutting board was tricky!) This was seriously the BEST tasting Thanksgiving ever (thanks to Susan's contributions as well!).

Maybe it just tasted better because of all the work put into it...

We had way more food than needed for 5 adults. (but the leftovers were definitely eaten) All of us ready to dig in (and Donna behind the camera). Faye is excited about her Thanksgiving dinner...sweet potatoes and applesauce!

And what blog post is complete without a UO football game? This was the day after Thanksgiving.

Love the Duck rain gear for Faye. Go Ducks! Going on another blustery walk with mamma. Then cuddling with dadda after. In the first week of December we decided to cut our own little Christmas tree down.

(yes, being we did have an artificial one, but now living in Oregon, how could we not get a fresh one?!)

Faye helps pick out the perfect little guy. Yes, it is a bit smaller than the rest, but still perfect! Yay for fun family "firsts". Faye was exhausted after the outing. Corey adds the finishing touches to our tree decorations.

Our tree had a fun red glow to it...with all vintage ornaments from Corey's grandparents on both sides. Faye celebrates by licking the outside of a Martinelli's bottle.

"Here's to the Holiday season! MMMMmmmmm."
