PICTURES of Faye Patience Templeton!

12:56am on Friday, May 7, 2010 was when our little bundle of joy came into this world. 7 lbs 1 oz. We cannot believe after nine months of waiting (and Donna's belly getting larger than life) that we have a little precious girl.

Before pictures are shown, we thought we would also share how times of joy like this are often paired with times of loss. Melvin "Grampy" Dresman (Corey's Grandpa) passed away the week before little Faye's arrival and his service was the day after Faye was born. Grampy was dearly loved and will certainly be missed—though we find comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord, getting to see Faye from a better, pain-free perspective.

Below is the first photo with all of us and the others following were taken in the wee hours of the morning at the birth center before we went home.
Here are more photos once we brought our new addition home! She has become Corey's favorite subject to photograph (and Donna is quite happy about that). Donna's mom came to help out for the first week. She LOVED holding her new grand-baby. She is still in shock, saying, "my first baby had a baby"!
Her first prayer :)
Below are shots from the first "bath"—sponge bath. It was quite the traumatic experience for Faye (and for us)! Who would have thought that a little moist wash cloth used on portions of the body could cause such an uproar. Here we show the before, between, and after shots.
Life is so hard! (she has the CUTEST cry... just melts your heart!)"Daddy, stop taking pictures of my misery"
Whew, she made it through—barely! Here she is lounging on the nursing pillow, where she spends much of her awake time, eating away. Since this picture was taken her umbilical cord has come off (yesterday)!
So many of these pictures were with her eyes closed (since she does spend over 90% of her day sleeping) we thought we would include one open-eyed shot. She is enjoying her bouncer chair and exploring this colorful world around her! So excited to see life through her eyes and experiences! We are SO blessed! Yes, there will of course be more pictures to come...

Hi Corry & Donna! Faye Patience is beautiful and I know you are going to be fabulous parents! (I'm the lady that took your Templeton family photos at the Bloss House a couple of years ago.) Blessings! Gayle
