Thanksgiving!

(Macy's day parade...is it about the floats anymore?? Too many lip-syncing acts if you ask me!)
This Thanksgiving we drove up to Sacramento to see Donna's mom, Stella, and sister, Katie. We decided to take our kitties along for the ride. They did very well in the car. Most of the time preferring to cuddle together in the carrier, they did occasionally go for a walking tour around the car. For a little bit at the end of the trip both Feist and Frou-Frou were in the back window of the car getting a lot of attention from the traffic around us! When we arrived they made themselves right at home. We went looking around for them and found that they had claimed their domain, the queen of the house's bed!
We had a great time here...lots of great talks and yummy foods! Here is a picture of the beautiful Thanksgiving table—complete with Turkey salt and pepper shakers!
Mom was trying to avoid having her picture taken by having her camera in front of her face, but she lost her guard when she thought Corey was taking a picture of her mid-section. She kept saying, "Why are you taking a picture of my belly?" and pointing at her belly! Silly mom. (but we got a picture of her, ha!) As for Katie...she hid away long enough to not get her picture taken!
After dinner, we brought in the Christmas season with all the green and red decorations. The one part of decorating that was a challenge was to figure out where to put all of the Christmas pillows! Mom said she didn't realize she had so many. Look, Donna got lost underneath all of them!
She then decided to play out a scene from E.T. (remember when E.T. was hiding in the closet among all of the toys?) Donna is saying "Ouch". (Ok...it might not be a great impression, but it was fun trying)
Donna then broke free from the pillows and continued decorating while enjoying wonderful chocolate pie and chocolate squares.
Feist was enjoying a not-so-silent night next to some carolers as we finished the decorating. Just tonight we finished off the turkey left overs by using them in a modified Chicken 'n Dumplings dish. This was a momentous occasion since it was Donna's first time cooking her absolute favorite dinner dish. Just to prove it, here is the picture!
Well, back to working long nights on the NUMEROUS architecture projects for Corey and Donna writing a final and finishing grades before taking to the sky and flying to Israel! (we are hoping to blog through that trip... we will be leaving on the 11th—so soon!)

LOVED having you here for Thanksgiving -- along with your sweet cats! I miss the warmth they brought to my bed -- ha!

NOT crazy about the pic you took of me -- very sneaky! I'll get you for that!

Thanks for all the work you put in on my computer, Corey!

Donna -- I'm very proud of you making dumplings. How did they turn out?? You will probably be better at it now than me!

Love you guys!
